We are not asking you to write here
Your posts stay at alt-romes.github.io, with their canonical URL. We already index them and send readers to you. Claiming alt-romes.github.io does not move anything — it gives you control over how that content is discovered and represented.

alt-romes.github.io publishes a working feed, but the page does not declare it — readers cannot subscribe without hunting for the URL. One <link rel="alternate"> tag fixes it, whether or not you claim anything here.
What you would control
- Fix the metadata — Name, description and the topics we file you under.
- Exclude a post — Something you took down, or never meant to syndicate.
- Map authors — So a post is attributed to the engineer who wrote it.
- Feed health — We tell you when your feed breaks, before your readers notice.
- Referrals — How many readers we sent you, and which posts they came for.
Verification is one DNS TXT record and it is free. It proves you control the domain — nothing more, and we say so on the badge. If you would rather we stopped indexing alt-romes.github.io entirely, say so and we will.
